DealCloud meeting note automation
Post meeting note upload via email to DealCloud
We recently developed a custom end-to-end solution to enhance DealCloud’s native notification capabilities. The solution allows users to upload meeting notes to DealCloud via email. By using an intermediary email address, meeting notifications are forwarded to all internal attendees, enabling them to reply directly with their notes, formatted in Outlook as they prefer.
The solution then processes these responses, cleansing any Microsoft-specific formatting, and uploads the notes as rich text to the corresponding interaction record in DealCloud. This has significantly increased user adoption and efficiency, while also improving reporting accuracy and management visibility.
Custom SQL reporting engine
Python based report templating
Our client found that whilst PowerBI offered customised reporting when using data in SQL, it did not fit their business or users needs. They sought a solution where users were able to customise the look and feel of reports directly in Excel, an environment in which they are familiar with.
In collaboration with our client, we developed a python based report templating engine, which allows users to adjust their reports from changing colours and fonts to column dimensions. Once configured, the template is processed through an Azure web app, which fetches and filters data from SQL based on the user’s settings. The result: a fully formatted Excel report, generated automatically and ready to use.
AI summarisation
AI summarisation of meeting notes
One of the most prevalent issues our clients have faced in recent years is trying to draw concise and relevant information from large data sets. This is especially problematic in the case of meeting notes, where the sheer volume and time disparity can make it difficult to draw meaningful conclusions at a glance.
We have recently implemented solutions that group meeting notes by entities (e.g. companies) and time periods (e.g. month), summarising them into a concise five sentence paragraph using AI (e.g. summary of meetings with company X in July). This has provided an automated means for analysts to view and pass on reports without the need for time-consuming manual intervention.
HTML cleansing
Automated HTML cleansing for output
Data cleansing is becoming a more necessary task as the volume of data, especially qualitative data, increases in systems. We recently developed a microservice for a client, used for the purpose of cleansing HTML text pulled from a variety of sources.
Operating as a pass through, the service can be configured from within client systems directly by users, and is primarily used to remove unnecessary formatting and standardise styling such as font, bullet points, font size, colour and list type.
This has proven valuable to users, as it greatly simplifies the output used in reports, making data appear more professional, with a reduced need for manual post formatting.
