Insights from the Intapp Ambassador Summit

Robert recently attended and spoke at the Intapp DealCloud Ambassador User Summit in London, a focused event bringing together DealCloud users, product experts, and industry leaders to share practical insights and real-world experience. 

Co-hosting a panel on “Professional Services Perspectives: Insights for DealCloud Success,” Robert drew on his implementation experience to highlight what truly drives success beyond go-live. Particularly as firms look to leverage DealCloud to support AI and data-driven initiatives. 

Key takeaways from Robert’s panel 

Balancing process and data 

Robert emphasised that organisations, of course, strive for perfect processes and perfect data from day 1. But in reality, requirements are constantly evolving and therefore achieving perfection is a near impossible and constantly moving target. Successful users focus on a lean, well-defined foundation, which can quickly adapt to rapidly changing environments and user needs in a scalable way. 

Embedding best practice into daily use 

A core challenge is turning well-designed processes into consistent user behaviour. Robert highlighted the importance of making workflows intuitive, reducing friction, and ensuring DealCloud becomes part of users’ natural day-to-day activity.  

You need to ensure that best practices become a daily user habit.  

Avoiding common user pitfalls 

The panel also explored how bad habits can undermine even the best implementations, from inconsistent data entry to reliance on offline workarounds. You need to stress strong governance but also ensure that behaviours are learnt from top down. Early intervention keeps adoption on track. 

Robert’s key message to all firms using DealCloud; successful DealCloud implementations aren’t defined at launch. They are shaped by how effectively teams adopt and sustain the right behaviours over time.
