Managed Service

For clients requiring consistent access to resourcing, from a few days a week to full-time equivalent support, we offer tailored managed services.

Ad Hoc Support

For clients who need flexibility without committing to a full project or retainer, we offer ad hoc support. This model allows clients to call on us for random changes or updates.

CEO and Founder

Bertie is a trusted independent advisor to private equity firms around the world. He has over 15 years of experience advising fund managers, administrators and vendors on maximising the impact of technology and data within their business operations. Complemented by an unrivalled depth of knowledge in the technologies servicing the private capital markets industry, he specialises in technical advisory, business intelligence, data strategy, system integration and operating model refinement. During his career, he has acted as a strategic advisor to leading firms. These include 3i, Aberdeen, Actis, Barclays Infrastructure Funds, CVC, CDC and Blackrock.

Bertie founded it|venture in 2011, to support clients in unlocking the power of technology within their businesses. His previous roles include Private Equity Technology specialist at Barclays Infrastructure Funds and Head of Business Intelligence (UK) at eFront (now part of BlackRock).

Since joining the team in 2015, she has worked with various clients. She has end to end project experience across sectors and asset classes that include Private Equity, Energy and Venture Capital.

Robert began his career as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer in one of the world’s largest law firms. Here, he focused on a broad mix of public and private transactions, including Takeover Codes and PE-focused buyouts. He also worked with FTSE 100 and AIM listed clients and numerous investment fund vehicles.

Using this business experience and a passion for technology, he joined our senior management team in 2019. He now focuses on the practice’s consultancy offering. He delivers concise and pragmatic solutions that position it|venture’s clients at the cutting edge of technology.
