At it|venture, whilst we regularly undertake deeply complex projects for a wide range of global clients, we are equally at home providing smaller, tactical interventions that help make a tangible difference for the organisations we work with. We recently worked with a not-for-profit, internationally operating emergency relief development organisation to help them implement a significantly simplified approach to their deal flow, developing easier to use and more intuitive reporting at the same time. 

Our approach

We began the process by holding a series of workshops with a range of key stakeholders. We took the time to listen to the current challenges they faced and understand what a target state model would look like, before designing a solution to fit these needs.

We then moved on to implementing the recommended changes and undertaking a programme of user testing to ensure the new design met the requirements of the business. Throughout the process we maintained detailed communication with the client, ensuring they were happy with the outcomes at every stage.

The project outcome

By implementing a simplified deal flow and updating the reporting capabilities we were able to make the investment process easier, as well as ensuring that the ability to drive meaningful insight for future investment decisions. All this was done quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the client, which was vital for a not-for-profit with a low headcount and a small operating budget.
