Who was the client?
We implemented the Data Platform for a client that is one of Europe’s leading private debt firms. They provide credit solutions to high-quality and stable companies across Europe and the US.
What did we do?
We worked closely with the client to understand their business needs and goals, and to help them envision the possibilities of what the data platform could achieve. Through our guidance and expertise, we were able to assist the client in identifying the key requirements for the platform and designing a solution that met their needs. Our focus on effective requirements gathering ensured that the platform was tailored to their specific needs and was able to deliver real business value. By guiding the client through the process of designing and implementing their platform, we were able to help them unlock new opportunities and achieve their goals.
The project objectives
Our role in the project was to advise on, design and develop an end-to-end data platform implementation using the Microsoft Azure technology stack. Which was developed with the client’s own Microsoft tenant. This included:
Automation
We leveraged Microsoft Azure’s automation capabilities, allowing the client to focus on using their data to drive business value. Rather than spending time on manual data processing tasks.
Single source of truth
Bringing data from various operational sources into a centralised location, so the client could can gain a comprehensive view of their business operations. This enabled them to analyse data across multiple systems, identify patterns and trends, and make informed decisions based on up-to-date data and increase data accessibility.
Calculation environments
We ensured consistency across reports and dashboards by centralising the calculation of metrics to reduce inconsistencies and duplication of effort.
Power BI reporting
We built a suite of Power BI dashboards to visualise data from the platform. We also provided training to the client’s team on how to create their own dashboards in Power BI, using the data platform. By empowering users with the skills and knowledge to create their own dashboards, the project was able to deliver a solution that could evolve over time to meet the changing needs of the business. The training also ensured that the client’s team had a deeper understanding of their data and could use it more effectively to make informed decisions.

With all their data in one place (and refreshed using automated processes), the client was able to analyse it using Power BI more effectively and make informed decisions based on up-to-date data. By having a single source of truth for their data, the client was also able to reduce data discrepancies and improve data quality. Ultimately, the data platform provided the client with the scalable data foundation they needed to optimise their operations and drive growth.
